Para os magistrados, o uso da lei federal como fundamento para a maior parte das tarifas globais n\u00e3o se sustentou juridicamente.<\/p>\n<p class=\"texto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Na pr\u00e1tica, o julgamento imp\u00f5e um freio \u00e0 atua\u00e7\u00e3o unilateral do presidente na pol\u00edtica comercial externa e refor\u00e7a a necessidade de participa\u00e7\u00e3o do Congresso dos Estados Unidos em decis\u00f5es dessa natureza. A defini\u00e7\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m pode ter repercuss\u00f5es sobre medidas tarif\u00e1rias direcionadas ao Brasil e a outros parceiros comerciais.<\/p>\n<p class=\"texto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">A disputa judicial se estendia desde meados de 2025 e vinha sendo acompanhada com aten\u00e7\u00e3o por setores da ind\u00fastria e do com\u00e9rcio internacional, diante do potencial impacto sobre fluxos globais de importa\u00e7\u00e3o e exporta\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p class=\"texto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Suprema Corte, de maioria conservadora, decidiu por 6 votos a 3 que a Lei de Poderes Econ\u00f4micos de Emerg\u00eancia Internacional &#8220;n\u00e3o autoriza o presidente a impor tarifas&#8221;.
